ASSISTANT EDITOR
Description:
The St. Albert Gazette is looking for a full-time assistant editor. With a newsroom of 12, we cover a community of 65,000 people in a region of 100,000. The St. Albert Gazette is a perennial award-winning publication that publishes twice per week and daily online.
The assistant editor must possess excellent writing and editing skills, be proficient with web and social media, have a strong news sense and the ability to work well with others to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a relentless desire to strive for excellence.
Qualifications:
A college diploma in journalism is preferred.
Three to five years of relevant experience as a reporter and editor.
Experience with Adobe InDesign and web (WordPress or otherwise) are definite assets.
